The BMW sensor is actually optimistic in my case. My rotors were below the spec at (L/F 27.9mm and R/F at 28.1mm.) Their rotor change interval is not necessary conservative. This occurred around 26k miles for the front brake This is my first brake change on the front. The brake pad on the other hand was at 3mm.
Thanks! Any car can last more than 200K with the proper maintenance. I have seen a lot of BMW with close to 300K and some with over 400K, granted those were E30 with M20B27 engines, which for the most part were bullet proof. Proper maintenance and minor abuse is key. Appreciate 1.
